Making Cash On The Web is a serious attempt to compile useful information about making money on the internet. It is a combination of things that I have learned myself, as well as information culled from other sources. It is NOT about get rich quick schemes, or wierd marketing programs. I am not going to sell you anything.
If you don't yet have a website but want to get started making cash on the web, start here.
LinkShare Corporation offers a good opportunity for you to offer your readers thousands of products from dozens of the best retailers on the web.
Using Linkshare is simple. After signing up for the program, you apply to the various companies associated with the system. Some will accept you automatically—others will want to check out your website first.
When you’ve been accepted into an affiliate program, you select the “Get Links” tab, and then use the drop down menu to choose the affiliate you want to link to. You then choose a text or graphic link and are given a snipped of html to insert into your website.
Of course, just inserting a link isn’t likely to generate you any income. You’ve got to pre-sell your visitors. If you are going to create a link to, say, an ink-jet cartridge refilling company, write about the environmental and economic virtues of refilling cartridges. Then, insert the link, either as a text link within your story, or as a graphic link at the end.
