Promoting Your Site: Search Engine Submission
It’s all about getting people to visit your site.
You can have the best site in the world, but you’re not going to make any money unless people visit.
The most important thing is to get your site listed on search engine directories. Its entirely likely that the web directories will find you without any help, but it doesn’t hurt to submit them by hand.
A word of warning. There are a lot of companies that will try to charge you an arm and a leg to do this work for you. You don’t need to pay anyone. You can get to all of the major search engines by visiting the links below.
The first thing you want to do is to submit your site to Google.
Then, submit your site to Yahoo.
Submit your site to the Open Directory Project This serves as the front for a number of other search engines.
