Making Cash On The Web is a serious attempt to compile useful information about making money on the internet. It is a combination of things that I have learned myself, as well as information culled from other sources. It is NOT about get rich quick schemes, or wierd marketing programs. I am not going to sell you anything.
If you don't yet have a website but want to get started making cash on the web, start here.
One of the more interesting features in Adsense allows you to filter out the URLs of ads that you don’t want to show up on your site. These can be ads that are off-topic, that are direct competitors, or for any other reason.
Google allows you to filter out up to 200 different URLs, but the question is—do you really want to?
The problem is that a single url might deliver several different ads. So if you get rid of one “bad” ad, you might unknowingly also be getting rid of several “good” ads.
You just don’t know.
The secret is to filter the URLs slowly. Eliminate one, and then take a few days to see how it affects your site. Do your revenues increase? Decrease? How is the click through rate? What about the effective CPM?
If things seem better, then try another one. And so on.
